What we need:
In addition to your development chops, we need someone with enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and a tolerance for copious amounts of sarcasm. We need you to help us grow our capabilities and solidify our reputation as one of the premier interactive teams in our region. We’re looking for someone with the intelligence and intuition to quickly assess client needs and determine the best web solution for any given challenge. Whether the solution is .NET, PHP, off-the-shelf, or custom, we need someone with the experience and knowledge to make an informed decision and execute upon it.
What you need:
- Experience in PHP and ASP.NET (C# a plus) with an understanding of Object Oriented development and various design patterns.
- WordPress Development experience is a HUGE plus.
- Proven experience developing with different types of 3rd party APIs.
- A strong background in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- Inherent knowledge of what looks good and works well – and what doesn’t.
- History of working with both MS SQL and MySQL servers.
- Experience setting up domains in IIS and Apache, configuring DNS and MX record entries, configuring SSL certificates, and other standard Web hosting and development procedures.
- Strong knowledge of standard security practices.
- The ability to communicate well, particularly in the form of translating low-level technical requirements into high-level layman’s terms.
- A relentless hunger for learning about new development trends, technologies and systems (jQuery, WordPress, Mobile, Facebook API, etc.).
- Sufficient balance of both hatred and acceptance of Internet Explorer.
