What better way to announce the opening of a Spanish Language Department than a Cinco De Mayo Celebracion? The Cinco De Mayo Celebracion served as the grand opening announcement of MIDFLORIDA’s newest department and gave its employees a chance to greet and embrace the Hispanic community as new members. The street party was open to the public and advertised in newspaper ads and invitations sent to various Hispanic groups and clubs. The artwork was also modified to become a 30-foot banner which spanned the street and served as a center point for the main event stage.
