Business and public relations manager, Melea brings to CNP a 30-year advertising and public relations background. She has been with CNP since 1997. Her experience includes co-ownership of Gernert & Goddard, Inc., a public relations and marketing firm, for more than 10 years during which her company acted as the management firm for the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). FPRA is the largest statewide public relations association in the nation. Her background includes concept/creative work, copywriting, media placement, public/media relations account service and special event coordination. She is a member of FPRA, has served on the board of directors for Girls, Inc., Winter Haven and is a co-founder and board member of Historic Winter Haven.

- I’m a late-comer to the TV show “Lost” and am completely addicted to it. My husband and I watched five seasons of it in a month and a half.
- I’m also a Food TV’s “Barefoot Contessa” junkie. Just about everything I cook now is from her recipes.
- I love old movies – everything from Gone with the Wind to White Christmas.
- I think the iPhone is the greatest invention EVER!
- My favorite U.S. city is Savannah, Georgia.
- I HATE standing in lines.
- I love that President Obama’s daughter’s name (Malia) is making my name more mainstream (spelled differently – pronounced the same).
- I never drank coffee until I was in my 30s.
